Cyprus drivers have a quiet myth they live with: "if I want to keep my warranty, I have to go to the main dealer." For Honda, Isuzu, Kia and BAIC owners in the Famagusta district, that's not true — and hasn't been for a long time. We're the authorized service centre for all four brands. Same warranty cover. Same parts. Different price, different experience.

What "authorized service centre" actually means

It's a specific status. To be authorized for a manufacturer, a workshop has to be:

  • Approved by the brand's regional importer in Cyprus.
  • Equipped with the OEM diagnostic software for that brand — the same tool the dealer uses, not a third-party clone.
  • Staffed by technicians with the appropriate brand training.
  • Stocked with genuine manufacturer parts (or a fast supply chain to them).
  • Subject to the same quality audits and warranty-claim processes a dealer would be.

We are. For Honda, Isuzu, Kia and BAIC, the work we do is recognised by the brand for warranty purposes — including powertrain warranty, anti-corrosion warranty, paint warranty and battery warranty (on hybrids/EVs).

The four brands we're authorized for

Honda

Civic, CR-V, Jazz, HR-V, Accord, Pilot — petrol and hybrid. Honda's i-MMD hybrid system is genuinely brilliant and we have the right tools and training to keep it working that way. Routine service, brake work, hybrid battery diagnostics, the lot.

Isuzu

D-Max in particular — the workhorse of every farm, construction site and trade business across Cyprus. Specialised diesel service knowledge, fuel-system work, 4x4 driveline maintenance, suspension upgrades for loaded work use. We see more D-Maxes through our doors than almost any other model.

Kia

Picanto, Cee'd, Sportage, Sorento, EV6, Niro. Full range from city runabout to long-range EV. Kia's 7-year warranty is the longest in the industry — and using us instead of a dealer keeps every year of it.

BAIC

The newest brand in our authorized list, growing fast in the Cyprus market. We're already the go-to service centre for owners in the Famagusta district.

The difference vs a main dealer — honestly

Two places we genuinely do better than a typical dealer:

  • Continuity of technician. At a big dealer, your car might be touched by 6 different juniors over the warranty period. With us, it's the same engineer — Anninos — every visit. He remembers your car, your history, your usage. Diagnostics catch issues earlier.
  • Honest advisories. A dealer is structured to upsell. We're not. If something's at 70% of its life, we'll tell you to come back at 90% — not now. That's also why we put advisories in writing with photos sent over WhatsApp, so you can see what we're seeing.

Two places a main dealer is genuinely useful:

  • Software updates with brand portal access. Some manufacturer software releases are only available through the dealer network's online portal. We get them — but with a 1–2 day delay sometimes. If you need a same-day update, the dealer is the right call.
  • Recall work. Manufacturer recalls are typically funded through the dealer network. We co-ordinate them, but the work itself usually happens at the brand's main showroom location.
"Independent garage" and "warranty void" got linked decades ago — and modern EU and Cyprus rules have separated them. Authorized service status means the only thing the dealer offers that we don't is the showroom waiting room.

What a service with us actually looks like

The same as a dealer would do, plus a few things they wouldn't:

  1. Pre-service multi-system diagnostic scan with OEM software — no surprises.
  2. Manufacturer-schedule service (oil, filter, plugs, brake fluid, coolant, etc. — exactly per the book, with OEM parts).
  3. Brake, suspension, steering and underbody inspection on the ramp.
  4. Air-conditioning vent temperature check — important in Cyprus, see our AC article.
  5. Underside corrosion check (free, every service — relevant for coastal cars, see our climate guide).
  6. Tyre tread, pressures and wear-pattern check — referred for alignment where needed.
  7. Complimentary post-service exterior clean — every visit, no charge.
  8. Written report and photos sent over WhatsApp before you collect.
  9. Book stamped (or digital service record updated, depending on the brand) for warranty continuity.

Beyond the four authorized brands

We're approved for Honda, Isuzu, Kia and BAIC — but we hold dealer-level diagnostic software for many more: Mercedes, BMW, Audi/VW group, Porsche, Range Rover/Jaguar, Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai. On those brands, we work to manufacturer schedules with OEM-equivalent parts, and we're a popular choice for owners whose manufacturer warranty has expired. We're not the authorized warranty channel for those cars — but the work is dealer-quality and the price is independent-friendly.
